How do I qualify?

All Community Trust registered mortgage brokers are invited to participate. Simply submit deals to us between September 1, 2024 and January 31, 2025. The more deals you fund, the better your odds are of securing a spot on the retreat.

How many prizes are available?

There are 17 prizes total. They are made up of three cohorts:

BariStar program = 13 winners (*individual – not pooled)

5 top value funded brokers nationally*

5 top unit funded brokers nationally*

3 top value funded brokerages

Wild card draw = 4 winners

3 winners – Minimum $5 million funded, or 10 units. There will be 1 winner in each region: Alberta, Atlantic Canada, and British Columbia*

1 winner – Highest Commit to Fund Ratio with a minimum of $5 million funded, or 10 units*

How can I win?

Simply keep on sending us new deals! There are no restrictions on the type of deals that are eligible for entry.

How will I know if I’ve won?

Winners will be notified by email shortly after the draw is completed on February 6, 2025 12pm ET.

Disclaimers:

All entrants must be Canadian mortgage brokers or agents who are officially onboarded and in good standing with Community Trust for the duration of the Contest Period, and must remain in good standing from the beginning of the Contest period through to their attendance at the Broker Appreciation Retreat in 2025.

Contest not open to residents of Quebec. Prize is not transferable. No purchase necessary to enter or win. Potential winner must successfully answer a time-limited, mathematical skill-testing question without assistance of any kind to win. All amounts are in Canadian dollars.

The Contest begins at 12:01 a.m. Eastern Time (ET) on September 1, 2024, and ends at 11:59 p.m. ET on January 31, 2025. The contest will consist of 20 prize drawings from a pool of entries received during the contest period, entries will be based on dollars and units funded between September 1, 2024 and January 31, 2025, Commit to Fund Ratio based on Fiscal 2024.

Winners will be announced on February 6th, 12:00 pm ET. Winners must be in good standing with CTC at time of draw and trip. “Good standing” means a broker who is not on the DNU List, and is not under any investigation by Community Trust Company or a regulator for misconduct, and must be deemed in good standing by CTC Leadership (HMO). Prize is non transferable. Commit to Fund Ratio based on Fiscal 2024.

13 winners will be based on Stars criteria

5 Winners – Top $ funded broker nationally (individual – not pooled) – if there is a tie – units, then efficiency, as determined by Community Trust Company
5 Winners – Top Unit funded broker nationally (individual – not pooled) if tie – units, then funded $ as determined by Community Trust Company
3 Winners – Top Funded Submission agent (not listed above) as determined by Community Trust Company

4 Wild card winners based on draw

3 Winners – Minimum $5 Million CAD dollar funded or 10 units
1 winner in British Columbia, Alberta, & Atlantic Canada (New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island) (individual not pooled).
1 Winner – Highest Commit to Fund Ratio with a minimum of $5 Million dollar funded or 10 units (individual not pooled)

3 National Brand Ambassadors

Each prize consists of one 4 day all-inclusive resort accommodations, one return flight from home city to Barbados, approx. $75 CAD in spa credits, and local excursions (approximate retail value of each prize: $9,000 CAD).
